Nanny Interview Tips (UK)
27 November 2017
At Niche Nannies, we believe that a successful candidate demonstrates both reliability and competence in all areas of childcare. The guidance below is designed to help you feel fully prepared and confident for your interview. You’ll find examples of the types of questions you may be asked, along with suggestions on how to approach them.
These tips are intended for interviews taking place within the UK, or within a reasonable traveling distance of your prospective employer. If you are considering a role overseas, you may wish to refer to separate advice tailored to international placements.
Preparation is Key
Bring a printed copy of your CV to the interview, along with original documents (or clear copies) of any relevant certificates and qualifications.
If you are registered with a nanny agency, you will most likely have already provided your documents, qualifications and proof of identity. However, it is always wise to demonstrate that you are organised and well prepared, just in case the parents do not have everything immediately to hand.
